Bubbles & Angels is a private hair-extension salon in East Islip, New York. We have installed extensions here since 2011. The hair on this site is the same hair we install in the salon.
That changes how we buy. If a bundle tangles or sheds, we find out at the next appointment, in our own chair. So nothing goes on this site that we would not put on a client.
Before a bundle is listed, we check whether the hair is from one donor, with the cuticle intact and running in one direction. Whether it is raw or has been color-processed, and we say which. How the weft, tape or clip is built. Density, texture, movement, and how the finished install reads outdoors, not under salon lights. Not every bundle is interchangeable.
We serve two kinds of customers: women buying hair for themselves, and professional stylists whose clients pay for the result. For both, the first step is a consultation, not a guess, and you do not need to know the terminology. Three photos of your natural hair, front, back and ends, taken in daylight, are enough for us to recommend a method, amount, length, texture and shade before you order. Our standards
How we judge hair
Two bundles can look identical in the pack and behave differently once they are washed, styled and slept on. These are the points that separate them.

Raw means raw
Natural Virgin Black and Soft Brown are never dyed. Jet Black 1B has been color-processed to reach that shade, and we label it that way.

One donor
Genius Wefts, our traditional sewn-in wefts, clip-ins and the Halo are single-donor hair. Slight variation in tone and wave from bundle to bundle is the signature of one donor, not a defect.

Construction you can feel
A Genius Weft measures 0.8 mm at the seam with no return hair. Clip-in sets are double drawn and single wefted. How a piece is built decides how it lies against the head.

Matched, not approximated
Texture is Straight or Wavy. Our traditional sewn-in wefts also come in three luster levels, Silky, Balanced and Dense, to match how your own hair finishes. Shade is matched to the mid-lengths and ends of your hair, not the roots.

Sized from real installs
Our amount advice comes from installing, not from a chart. A Genius Weft runs about 50 g. Most clients order two, and thick or coarse hair, or a big length change, usually takes three.
