For stylists who put their name behind their work

Genius Wefts with a 0.8 mm seam, sewn-in wefts made to order, and tape-ins, with method and amount recommendations from stylists who install this hair themselves.

When a client pays for a full install, they are paying for your judgment as much as your hands. If the hair sheds, tangles or reads a shade off in daylight, they do not think of the supplier. They remember who did the work.

A high-ticket install asks a lot of the hair. It has to lie flat against the head and hold its texture through washing and heat. It has to take color when you need it to, and sit beside the client's own hair without announcing itself. That starts with donor selection and construction, not packaging.

We are a private salon in East Islip and have installed extensions since 2011. We sell the hair we put in our own chairs: raw single-donor Genius Wefts, made-to-order sewn-in wefts and virgin tape-ins. Before you commit a client to a piece, read how we choose hair for high-ticket clients, or ask us. The answer comes from someone who has installed it.

Hair that holds up to your standards
What you get

Hair that holds up to your standards

  1. 01

Genius Wefts, 0.8 mm at the seam

A hand-finished weft that measures 0.8 mm thick at the seam and 1.7 mm tall, with no return hair and no thick machine track. It cuts to any width without unraveling and lies flat against the scalp, so you can place it where a bulkier weft would show. It installs with beads and thread and can be moved up and reinstalled multiple times through 6 to 12 months of wear with proper care.

  2. 02

Raw hair you can tone or lift

Genius Wefts are 100% raw, unprocessed single-donor hair with the cuticle intact and aligned in one direction. No acid bath, no silicone coating, no synthetic fibers. Because the hair has never been chemically processed, you can tone or lift it in the salon instead of settling for the nearest stock shade. Natural Virgin Black and Soft Brown are the raw shades. Jet Black 1B, offered on the traditional wefts, is a dyed black and we label it that way.

  3. 03

Made to order, and why bundles vary

Genius Wefts and our traditional sewn-in wefts are made to order. The traditional wefts come in lengths from 16" to 30" and three luster levels: Silky / Fine, Balanced / Medium and Dense / Coarse. Choose the level that matches the client's own density and finish. Raw single-donor hair varies slightly from donor to donor in tone and wave. That is what single-donor hair does, and it is why we ask for daylight photos before you order.

  4. 04

A method for each client in your chair

Genius Wefts for a flat beaded install in 18", 20" and 22". Traditional sewn-in wefts for volume, 16" to 30", with a straight option for thick hair and a wavy option for thinning hair. Premium Tape-In Extensions in 18" to 30", re-taped at move-ups and worn for up to 12 months. For clients who are not ready for an install, clip-ins and The Halo need no professional application.

  5. 05

    Guidance from people who install

Every recommendation here comes from the salon floor. We know how each piece behaves on fine, thick and thinning hair, how the raw shades take toner, and how the wefts hold through move-ups. Send us a client's photos, front, back and ends in daylight, and we will recommend method, amount, length, texture and shade before you order. If a piece is wrong for a client, we will tell you.

Questions stylists ask

Can I buy from you as a stylist?

Yes. Every product in the store is available to professional stylists. Order online from the full range. If you run a salon and want to talk through ordering for clients, use the form below or email customercare@bahair.com.

Which methods suit salon work?

Three of our lines are for professional installation. Genius Wefts are the flattest construction we make, for beaded installs where bulk at the scalp would show. Our traditional sewn-in wefts are for sew-in and leave-out installs where the client wants volume. Premium Tape-In Extensions come in the natural donor shade, black to dark brown, in 50 g packs, and the tabs can be re-taped at move-ups. Clip-ins and The Halo need no professional installation and suit clients who want single-donor hair without committing to an install. The method guide walks through the differences.

How much hair does a client need?

For Genius Wefts, one weft is approximately 50 g, roughly a third of a head.

  • One weft (about 50 g): a partial, a top-up between appointments or added density.
  • Two wefts (about 100 g): the standard full install for fine to medium hair.
  • Three wefts (about 150 g): thick or coarse hair, a big length change or maximum density.

For Premium Tape-In Extensions, each pack is 50 g and 20 pieces.

  • Two packs (100 g): a full head with natural volume at 18" to 20".
  • Three packs (150 g): fullness and length at 22" to 24".
  • Four to five packs (200 to 250 g): XL length and fullness at 24" to 30".
  • Five to six packs (250 to 300 g): XL length and fullness at 30" and up.

We do not publish a weight per weft for the traditional sewn-in wefts, so send photos of the client's hair and we will tell you what to order. More on how much hair a client needs.

How do I match a client's shade and texture?

Match to the mid-lengths and ends of the client's hair, not the roots. Natural Virgin Black is the raw donor shade and reads as a deep natural black or off-black. Soft Brown is naturally lighter brown donor hair, never dyed. Both can be toned or lifted. Jet Black 1B has been color-processed to reach 1B, so treat it as dyed hair, not raw. Premium Tape-In Extensions come in the natural donor shade, natural black to dark brown, and can be color treated.

For texture, Straight is a true natural straight with a soft bend at the ends. Wavy is a loose S-wave that blends with most natural textures. Slight donor-to-donor variation is normal, so send daylight photos of the mid-lengths and ends and we will confirm the match before you order. Read the shade and texture guide.

How quickly does hair ship?

Genius Wefts, traditional sewn-in wefts and Premium Tape-In Extensions ship within 1 to 3 business days of the order. Premium Clip-In Extensions are custom made and ship 2 to 3 weeks after ordering. Natural Wavy Clip-In Extensions ship 3 to 5 business days after processing; allow 5 to 10 business days to receive them. During major sales, processing can take up to 7 business days, and orders are not processed on weekends or major holidays. Processing begins as soon as an order is submitted, so modifications and cancellations are not possible: confirm the client's length, shade and amount before you order. US orders of $300 or more ship free with the Standard rate; other rates are calculated at checkout. Full details are in the shipping policy.

What support do I get after I order?

Call or text 516-707-2015 during salon hours, or email customercare@bahair.com. We can talk through placement, care instructions for your client and what to expect at move-ups. Return requests must be made within 7 days of receipt, with the hair in original, unaltered, resellable condition and the original ties intact. Inspect the hair on arrival, before it is combed, washed or cut. See the refund policy for the full terms.
