Shade & texture
  • Natural donor shade — one shade only, the hair's own color: it runs from natural black to dark brown and has not been dyed. A stylist can color treat it if you want a closer match.

Texture is offered as Straight or Wavy. Pick the pattern that matches how you wear your own hair most days.

Because the color is the hair's own, the exact tone can sit anywhere in that range, which is what lets it read as your own hair rather than a uniform, processed set.
Care
  • Use sulfate-free, oil-free products near the tabs, and keep conditioner and oils away from the tape.
  • Wash in a downward direction, from the roots toward the ends.
  • Apply heat protectant before any hot tool.
  • Braid or wrap your hair before bed.
  • When the tabs have grown away from the scalp, see your stylist to have them moved back up.

Inside the Tape-In

Four things decide how a tape-in wears: the tab, the hair, the hands that apply it, and what happens as it grows out.

Two-tab sandwich

Two tabs close around a small section of your own hair, tab to hair to tab. That sandwich is what gives the placement its flat profile.

Hair that takes daily brushing

Tangle-free with minimal shedding, which is what you want from hair that is brushed every day.

Applied by a stylist

Professional installation is required. A stylist places every piece; this is not a set you put in at home.

Maintenance, not replacement

As your hair grows, the tabs move away from the scalp. Your stylist then re-tapes each piece closer to the root; that appointment is a move-up. With proper care and move-ups, one set is worn for up to 12 months.
